- Obtained BSc in Agriculture, MSc in Horticulture, and PhD Horticulture from Kerala Agricultural University (KAU)
- Commenced professional journey as an Assistant Professor at Kerala Agricultural University in 1993
- Currently working as Professor and Head, Cocoa Research Centre, Kerala Agricultural University and also heading the KAU- Mondelez India Collaborative Project on Cocoa, a unique example of a successful public-private partnership in research in India
- Involved in teaching, research, and extension for the last 30 years
- Supervised the academic pursuits of seven MSc and two PhD students
- Contributions extend to numerous externally funded research projects supported by organizations such as ICAR, Kerala State Council for Science, Technology & Environment, DST, and the Government of Kerala
